Type 2000
Series 2000 is currently formed by a total of 724 carriages, distributed in two large groups
called 2000-A and 2000-B respectively.
The interior decoration is different in carriages 2000-A and 2000-B, but in both cases panels
of polyester reinforced with glass fibre have been used.
The 2000 carriages are equipped with train protection systems, mostly ATP and ATO, and
radiotelephone, public address and next stop announcing systems. Series 2000 carriages are also
fitted with air conditioning, which in some cases has been installed very recently.
Refurbishment and interior decoration updating of 34 series 2000-A units is currently
underway.
