Who we are

Metro de Madrid S.A. is a public company integrated in the Regional_Transport_Consortium of Madrid, an organisation created in 1986 to group the activities of public and private entities working in public transport related areas in order to co-ordinate services, networks and prices and provide users a range of services with greater capacity and more quality.

Metro de Madrid, the governing bodies of which are the Community_of_Madrid and Madrid_City_Council, is entrusted with the operation of the Metro network lines in service, planning and improvements related to the quality of the transport service, and the maintenance and optimisation of Madrid's underground network facilities.
