The Tourist Transport Season Ticket is the most practical and cheapest way of travelling around Madrid. This ticket is valid for all kinds of public transport within the region, with no distance restrictions, within the period of validity.

The Tourist Transport Season Ticket is personal and non-transferrable. When purchasing the ticket, an official document (national ID card, passport, etc.) will be required as proof of identity, the number of which will be written on the voucher.

The transport season ticket voucher is provided together with the instructions for its use in Spanish and English, as well as maps of the Underground and rail network, a Madrid street map and a map of the Community of Madrid with indication of the means of transport and the main points of interest.

There are two zones to choose from: Zone A, which includes MetroMadrid, ML1 Light Underground, Cercanías-RENFE services included in this Zone and Madrid EMT bus service, and Zone T, which includes all the Region of Madrid's public transport services, including the ML2 and ML2 Light Underground, the Parla Tram and the interurban buses plus their extensions to Guadalajara and Toledo. They are not valid for RENFE Operadora's Regional Services.

There are five kinds of season tickets: for 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 calendar days. The validity period commences the moment they are used for the first time, at which time the expiry date will be printed on the reverse side of the voucher.

Points of Sale

They may be acquired at all stations in the Metro network and the Passenger Assistance Centre at the Airport T1-T2-T3 station.

They can also be obtained at Tourist Offices, Offices of the Consorcio Regional de Transportes (Regional Transport Consortium), at certain tobacconist’s and newspaper stands, places of tourist interest, major tour operators, major travel agencies, hotels throughout the city and via the internet.
