The Community of Madrid will reinforce Metro Line 10 by up to 40% for the Madrid derby game

The special arrangements will be in force between 3-7 p.m. so as to assure smooth access to and exit from the Santiago Bernabéu ground. When the game finishes, the service reinforcement will also affect Line 1. This reinforcement will also be accompanied by a staff increase to assure the proper working of the service

The Community of Madrid will be stepping up the number of trains tomorrow Sunday on Metro Lines 1 and 10 on account of the holding of the Real Madrid - Atlético de Madrid football derby, which will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at 4.15 p.m.

The special arrangements will come into operation at 3 p.m., with a 20% increase in the number of trains on Line 10. Later, between 6-7 p.m., when the game has finished, so as to ensure that users may leave the ground in an orderly manner, the service reinforcement on Line 10 will rise to 40% and the number of trains will also be increased on Line 1.

The train service reinforcements by Metro Madrid will be accompanied by an increase in the staff on the lines affected so as to guarantee the proper working of the service and assure fluid mobility in the area.

The Community of Madrid implements Metro service reinforcements of this kind whenever there is some event where a greater influx of users is expected. The aim of these arrangements is to control and assist in the organization of possible overcrowding in ticket halls and on platforms so that the flows of incoming and outgoing passengers may take place smoothly, while assuring that train operation may continue as normal.
