Every year, at Metro de Madrid we make it possible for millions of people to reach their destination. This festive season, our best way of thanking you for your trust is to share with you the magic that unites us: We have prepared plans and surprises for all ages, full of fun and Christmas spirit. In addition, we activated the largest reinforcement to facilitate mobility during the festive season, increasing the number of trains by up to 131% on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 and 12.
Christmas Train
Our classic Christmas Train is back, decorated inside and out, illuminated with LED lights and with entertainment on weekends and public holidays. Check Metro de Madrid's official account on X for the approximate timetable when the train will pass through some of the stations on its route.

The Forest of Wishes
Children and adults are invited to walk through an enchanted forest where they can express their wishes on 12 magical trees. A participatory experience with very special foresters...
Dates: 5 December to 6 January.

Christmas Jumper
For the third consecutive year, we have designed a new and original Christmas jumper with our stamp. Look your best this festive season and be sure to get the most original gift. There are sizes for children and adults, and they are selling out!

Nativity in Ópera
The Christmas tradition of the nativity scene is present at Metro, thanks to the Association of Nativity Scene Makers of Madrid. Figures over a metre high, made in Olot, Girona, can be seen from outside the museum, in the station itself.

Simulator in Chamartín
A proposal for those who love Metro history and technology: Travel virtually on the first train that ran on the Madrid underground in 1919 and tour the stations of the inaugural section. State-of-the-art devices and large format screens.
Dates: 19 December to 7 January.

Christmas concert
The vocal duo Jazz Sisters will give a concert at the Museo de los Caños del Peral. You will hear Christmas classics performed in the style of 1950s swing and jazz.

Gospel choir
Let music take you away this Christmas. Four stations will be the setting for a Christmas tradition that is pure spiritual energy: A gospel choir.
Dates: 17, 18, 19 and 20 December.
Location: Pinar de Chamartín, Chamartín, Puerta del Sur and Móstoles Central stations.
Christmas AulaMetro
As part of the AulaMetro programme, a fun activity is planned for schoolchildren aged between 6 and 9 years old, on board the Christmas train from El Casar to Almendrales station. The participants come from schools in the Community of Madrid who have previously requested to take part in this activity.
Dates: From 26 November to 18 December
Metro Comic
This exhibition shows the dialogue that has existed for decades between comic art and the metro, through publications issued by Metro de Madrid and other national and international examples.
Dates: 5 December until mid-March 2026.
