  • What is the Metro Museum Passport?

    This is an invitation to underground users to travel around the Madrid underground and visit its eight museums – its great historical and artistic spaces:

    • Chamberí station
    • Engine Shed
    • Exhibition of classic trains in Chamartín station
    • Pacífico Entrance Hall
    • Gran Vía Museum
    • Tirso de Molina Entrance Hall
    • Carpetana Palaeontology Centre
    • Caños del Peral Museum in Ópera station
  • Who is this aimed at?

    At all those people interested in the historical and cultural heritage of Madrid, and specifically at the treasures accumulated by Metro de Madrid over more than 100 years of history.

  • How much does it cost?

    The Metro Museum Passport is free of charge.

  • Where can I obtain my passport?

    The passport can be obtained from Chamberí station, the Engine Shed or the classic train exhibition in Chamartín station.

  • How does it work?

    Metro employees will stamp the passport at each of the visits made to the Engine Shed, Chamberí station and the classic train exhibition in Chamartín station. At the rest of the sites, the user should take a selfie with their mobile phone where it can be clearly seen that they have visited these museums.

    You can exchange your selfies for the corresponding stamp at the Engine Shed, Chamberí station and the classic train exhibition in Chamartín station, along with the Metro stores located in Sol and Plaza de Castilla stations.

    Once the whole cultural route is completed, users may visit the Sol or Plaza de Castilla Metro stores with their stamped document and selfies, where they will receive a reward.

  • Do I need to book in advance?

    It is necessary to book in advance to visit Chamberí station, the Engine Shed, the Pacífico Entrance Hall, the Caños del Peral Museum and the classic train exhibition in Chamartín station. Make your booking.

  • What is the timetable for collecting my reward?

    The timetable of the Sol (This centre will be closed from 31 March for approximately four weeks) and Plaza de Castilla Metro stores is from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 10 pm and from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  • What do I have to take to collect my reward?

    To receive your reward at the Metro stores, you must take your passport with the stamps from the Engine Shed, Chamberí station and the classic train exhibition in Chamartín station, along with the selfies accrediting your visits to the other locations.
