Attention! Reopening our museums after the holidays
If you need new ideas to start the school year motivated in terms of leisure plans, we offer you five very unique spaces, all of great historical value, to discover. All you have to do is make an appointment at https://museosmetromadrid.es/ to find the required information. Plus, admission is free!
We are starting the season with new features, as new museographies have been added, designed to delve into the context, the environment, the engineering and architecture of each space, focusing on the details that make them unique. There is also new digital content that is displayed on large format screens, thus recovering the past through new technologies.
Come to the incredible Nave de Motores, built in 1923. Here you can see the three immense ship engines that once powered line 1 and even the city of Madrid. They will not leave you indifferent! You also have the option of travelling back in time through Chamberí station, better known as the Ghost Station, and see what the stations were like until 1960, when it was closed.
And if you prefer, you can enjoy the most classic trains at Chamartín and see what the train Alfonso XIII travelled on when the first Metro line was inaugurated in 1919.
In addition, the Caños del Peral and the Pacífico Hall are other places that await you at our stations. You only need a ticket to access them. You have the whole school year to get to discover each museum. We recommend that you get your passport stamped at each visit and get a gift when you have done the whole tour.
In the first half of 2024, 87,640 people visited Metro de Madrid's Historical Heritage museums and exhibitions.
If you are not among them, come and discover the most underground Madrid!
