Metro de Madrid surprises passengers in Sol with the Ghostbusters diamond

The iconic logo of the underground, from which a small ghost now emerges, becomes an attraction for selfies and photos.

Sol Metro station has changed its traditional logo to promote the film 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Since yesterday, many people have been posing by the station entrances to take selfies and photos with this well-known ghost, which now emerges from the diamond to make a nod to the film that opens this week. It has also been very well received on social media, with users wondering how long the new diamond will be around or if it could stay around for longer.

For the next 15 days, Sol station, a hub in the heart of the Spanish capital, will also be immersed in this icy world, through its advertising media that will customise this space with references to the film.

In addition, to accompany its première, Metro will be holding a competition throughout this week on its social media. As part of it, 50 exclusive limited edition T-shirts will be raffled for fans of the saga.

The new instalment of the film will be released in cinemas on 22 March and features actor Bill Murray. It is the sequel to 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' and the fifth film in the franchise
