Campaign posters in a Metro station

New edition of the Libros a la calle (Books on the Street) campaign... and that's 28!

Enjoy literature in Metro through 7,200 new excerpts from 21 literary works.

This year, you will find 7,200 plastic strips distributed throughout trains and buses with texts by 21 award-winning authors from 2024, unique illustrations, and a QR code to learn more about each work and author. This initiative, which has been running for 28 years, aims to continue bringing literature closer to public transport users.

On this occasion, Libros a la calle (Books on the Street) brings together the texts of the winners of the 2024 national awards in all genres. From poetry to comics, narrative, essays and children's literature... there's something for everyone!

This edition also pays tribute to Julia Uceda and Rosa Regàs, who left us in 2024, and also commemorates the centenary of the birth of Carmen Martín Gaite, Ana María Matute, Ángel González, Rosario Castellanos and Ignacio Aldecoa; the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Antonio Machado, and the centenary of the publication of Rafael Alberti's Marinero en tierra (Sailor on land).

We hope you like them as much as we do.
