Persons with intellectual disabilities call for their rights with an inclusive dance production in Metro de Madrid

Don’t miss the video of this group of dancers from the Esfera Foundation!

On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, held on 3 December each year, a group of people from the Esfera Foundation performed a dance routine in some of the most emblematic stations in the Madrid underground. In addition, on 2 December, a mural was unveiled in Embajadores station that reminds us of the rights of persons with disabilities as contained in the International Convention.

By implementing this type of action, Metro de Madrid clearly shows its commitment to inclusion and raising awareness about such causes as those of this group. In fact, as from next January, young people with intellectual disabilities will be hired for the first time to undertake work experience in the underground.
