Science Week at Metro de Madrid

The Madrid underground has organised visits to some of its most emblematic sites

For yet another year, Metro de Madrid has signed up to Science and Innovation Week by opening its doors to the public with a series of free, organised visits to be held between 3 and 14 November.
The sites that can be visited are the Central Repair Shops, the Laboratory, the Fire-fighting Training Facility and the Canillejas Station Simulator on Wednesday 3 and 11 November from 10:30 am to midday.

The people of Madrid can also visit the Andén Cero museums, that is, Chamberí station (Pza. de Chamberí), the Engine Shed (Valderribas 49) and Caños del Peral Museum (Ópera station). These museums will be open to visitors on 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 November at the following times: on Fridays from 4 to 8 pm, on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 to 8 pm, and on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Science Week, which is in its 21st edition, seeks to showcase scientific and technological developments to the public, promote inclusive science and stress the need to build a sustainable future.
