templete gran vía

This is what the new Gran Vía Metro station will look like

Outside, the iconic Antonio Palacios gazebo will be recreated, while the inside will have modern, accessible and digital facilities

Summer 2021 is when Gran Vía station will open its doors again to metro passengers. A completely renovated station that will become the model of the Madrid underground station of the future.

Four new lifts, a lobby that connects directly and without the need to go out, with the suburban station at Sol and all the technological advances (lighting, screens, new turnstiles and ticket machines) to make Gran Vía a flagship station.

Gran Vía, however, will not forget its origins, as it will feature a recreation of the historic temple designed by the “Metro architect”, Antonio Palacios.
