Travel in metro to Ireland

Celtic music and dance to celebrate St. Patrick's Day

This week, Metro de Madrid takes us to Ireland, joining in the celebrations in honour of St. Patrick, the patron saint of the emerald isle.

The activities kicked off with a performance by piper Carlos Núñez alongside two musicians and two dancers from the University College Dublin Dance Society dressed in traditional Irish costume.

In addition, until  17 March there will be performances by the dancers in Ópera, Callao and Gran Vía, three Metro stations on line 5, identified with the typical Irish green colour. Moreover, the pavilion at Gran Vía station will be illuminated in green throughout the week. Don't miss it!
