"The Vestigia exhibition. Traces of a forgotten past" takes a journey back in time through 88 black and white photographs

Tribute to our history on our 106th anniversary with a great exhibition

We are 106 years old and we are getting nostalgic.  So, on the occasion of our anniversary of the day we started our operations, 17 October 1919, at the Classic Trains Museum, we retrace our history through "The Vestigia exhibition. Traces of a forgotten past", consisting of 88 black and white snapshots.

We invite you to enjoy a very original exhibition at Chamartín station, with images that portray emblematic spaces, old stations, disappeared halls, archaeological sites discovered during the works on the tunnels, old carriages and some elements of urban transport that marked an era and built the identity of the Madrid underground.

The collection of photographs is displayed both inside and outside the trains themselves, which are part of the station's permanent exhibition. The tour also enables us to appreciate the transformation that Metro's rolling stock has undergone over the years.

The exhibition is the work of Rubén Rodríguez Camarero, photographer and company employee, and can be visited free of charge during the normal opening hours of the Chamartín space, by booking through the Metro de Madrid museums website: www.museosmetromadrid.es.
