The Community of Madrid is promoting a campaign to encourage attendance at cinemas

A un Metro de tu cine
"A Metro away from your cinema" is a commitment to support the audiovisual industry and film exhibitors. It consists of a graphic campaign and a metro and cinema map, available at 90 metro stations.

The Community of Madrid is launching the A Metro away from your cinema campaign, to promote attendance at cinemas, spaces which comply with the slogan #CultureIsSafe and which add value to the wide and diverse cultural offer of the region.

A Metro away from your cinema consists of a graphic campaign in Madrid de Metro and a map of the underground with the location and list of all the cinemas. The Regional Minister for Culture and Tourism, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, stressed that "initiatives such as this one help to keep Madrid active in the cultural sphere". In the opinion of the Minister, “thanks to the responsibility of the industry professionals and the public, we can say that #CultureIsSafe.”

“Metro always supports culture, whether through its museums, with classic literature works in its stations, with Bibliometro or by encouraging the use of this public means of transport to travel to the cinema, which is safe culture”, said the Regional Minister of Transport, Mobility and Infrastructure, Ángel Garrido.

The graphic campaign consists of five creations in 90 Metro stations. Five different images that make up an initiative designed to communicate with travellers about their relationship with cinemas, reminding them of the enjoyment of watching a good film on a big screen.

The images are related to different film genres and multiple targets, so that each traveller can identify with the different proposals, which range from the romantic genre to adventure and science fiction.

In addition to this poster proposal, there is also a Metro de Madrid and cinema map, which users will be able to find in 50 stations; 100,000 maps to locate the names of the cinemas per underground station, as well as a list of the number of screens, the number of seats or whether they are showing films in their original version.

The cinema, the performing arts, music, museums and exhibitions are a fundamental right of citizens and the spaces they take place in comply with all health and safety measures in force.

Something that has enabled, and continues to enable, that the cultural spaces of the Community of Madrid, to this day, to be safe and comfortable environments in which no new outbreaks have been detected.
