Region of Madrid Christmas Train now includes the presence of Royal Pages to wish underground users Happy Holidays

The train will run until 5 January on Line 6 of the Madrid underground. Each train will carry a sack to collect letters from children that have written to Their Majesties, the Three Kings.

The Region of Madrid Christmas Train now includes the presence of the Royal Pages of Their Majesties the Three Kings, who take over from Father Christmas, who has been wishing passengers a Merry Christmas on the new train that Metro de Madrid set in motion on 13 December and will run until 5 January on Line 6 of the underground.

The train carries six pages, one for each carriage, who will carry a sack until 5 January to collect letters from all those children, and even older passengers, who wish to send them via these special messengers. In fact, one of the people who handed over his letter today was the Deputy Regional Councillor for Transport and Infrastructure, Carlos Díaz-Pache, who took a trip on the Metro de Madrid Christmas Train. “The Royal Pages and music will welcome passengers each time the doors of the train open and they will interact with travellers – both young and old alike” - indicated Carlos Díaz-Pache.

This train is easy to identify on Line 6, since it is covered in 700 metres of LED lights, arranged on both the edge of the doors and windows and on the top of the sides of the train. The train is also decorated with Christmas decorations on both the outside and the inside.

By means of this initiative, the Regional Government of Madrid, in addition to wishing people Happy Holidays, passes on the spirit of Christmas in its facilities, as it has on previous occasions, since both Father Christmas and the Royal Pages have visited stations and trains at Christmas in the past.

The Royal Pages can be seen today, 29 December, on the Christmas Train on Line 6 of the underground, from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 4 pm to 6 pm; on 31 December, from 2 pm to 6 pm; on 1 and 2 January, from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 4 pm to 6 pm, and on 5 January, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
