The Community of Madrid increases Metro and EMT services for the San Isidro festivities

From tomorrow until next Monday, special arrangements will be implemented to guarantee the mobility of users. The underground will increase the number of trains on lines 1, 2, 3, 3, 4 and 5 and on the Ópera-Príncipe Pío branch. The largest number of buses will be concentrated on lines 17, 18, 23, 25, 34, 35, 36, 62, 116, 119 and 148

The Community of Madrid will implement a special public transport system from tomorrow, Friday 13th, until next Monday, 16th May, to celebrate the San Isidro festivities. The aim is to guarantee access and mobility in the area around La Pradera and the centre of the capital.

In the case of the Metro, tomorrow Friday and Saturday, there will be an increase on line 5 from 6 p.m and 3 p.m, respectively, until the end of the service; and on Sunday 15, from 10 a.m. until closure. On Monday it will take place from 6 p.m., with an increase of up to 25% in frequency.

On the Ópera-Príncipe Pío branch the extension will be 100% of trains on Sunday, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. On the same day, line 2 will be reinforced from 11 p.m. until closing time, and lines 1, 3 and 4 from midnight.

On Saturday morning, the municipal buses will be increased on lines 25 (Ópera–Casa de Campo) and 34 (Cibeles–Las Águilas). And in the afternoon on lines 17 (Plaza Mayor–Parque Europa), 23 (Plaza Mayor–El Espinillo), 25 (Ópera–Casa de Campo), 34 (Cibeles–Las Águilas), 35 (Plaza Mayor–Carabanchel Alto) and 116 (Embajadores–Villaverde Cruce).

On Sunday five more routes will be added: lines 18 (Plaza Mayor–Villaverde Cruce), 36 (Atocha–Campamento), 62 (Príncipe Pío–Los Puertos), 119 (Atocha–Barrio Goya) and 148 (Callao–Puente de Vallecas). And on Monday it will be the turn of lines 17, 18, 23, 25, 34, 35, 116 and 119.
