The increase will take place on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 July

The Community of Madrid will increase its train service on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 by an average of up to 100% this coming Friday 8 and Saturday 9 July, on the occasion of the main activities and the LGTBI Pride parade, in order to facilitate the mobility of participants in the central area of the capital.

On the first day, it will affect lines 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 starting at 7 p.m. until the end of service. Between these hours, up to 57 trains will be in service on these lines.

On Saturday, Metro de Madrid will also add line 4, to join lines 1, 2, 3 and 5, from 5:30 p.m. until service ends, with a total of up to 102 trains in service.

There will also be more Metro staff on the concourses of stations where more passengers are expected. These stations are: Atocha, Estación del Arte, Sol, Banco de España, Sevilla, Gran Vía, Callao, Ópera, Plaza de España and Chueca.

In addition, the Regional Transport Consortium will reinforce night-time lines, based on the situation in years prior to the pandemic and the foreseeable demand, together with an increase in interchanges in the event of possible congestion.

In order to improve access to the celebrations, there may be a further increase, depending on the number of passengers at any given time. In addition, an alert system is to be maintained at stations linking to other lines in case any incident is observed and it is necessary to increase the service further.
