The increase in trains during Christmas will last until Sunday 8 January. Stations have an increased presence of support and information staff and security guards.

The Community of Madrid has confirmed the special reinforcement of the Metro train service during the afternoon of 5 January, on the occasion of the celebration of the Three Wise Men's Parade. The system will begin at 16:00 hours on Thursday and will continue until 22:00 hours, with an increase in frequency of up to 68.8% on lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10.

The increase in Metro de Madrid's service, which was implemented on 2 December on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 to coincide with the Christmas season, will be in force until next Sunday. Thus, the number of active trains has increased between 9:30 a.m. and the closing of service, especially in the afternoons and at peak travel times to shopping and leisure areas. In some cases, reinforcement has reached 33% on weekdays and 50% on weekends.

The public company has also established a special service with station and security staff at stops near shopping and entertainment areas. Most of the passenger flows on the holidays take place in some of the most central stops of the Spanish capital such as Ópera, Sol, Callao, Gran Vía, Sevilla, Tirso de Molina, Príncipe Pío, Banco de España, Santo Domingo, Serrano, Goya, Plaza de España, Lavapiés, Chueca, Nuevos Ministerios and Tribunal.
