The Community of Madrid will increase the number of trains on Lines 1 and 10 of Metro de Madrid by up to 11% to guarantee the mobility of users affected by the suspension of the Cercanías train service through the Sol tunnel between Nuevos Ministerios and Chamartín stations.

The increased train service will be carried out from Monday to Friday on Lines 1, 10 and 10b (Metronorte), especially in the morning, midday and evening rush hours and taking into account the maximum train capacity for each line according to the different time slots. Thus, the maximum reinforcement will be between 2 pm and 4 pm, with 11% more trains on Line 10b, 10% more trains on Line 10 and 8% more trains on Line 1. In the morning rush hour, between 7.30 am and 9.30 am, the increase in trains will be up to 7%; and in the evening rush hour, between 6 pm and 8 pm, the increase will be up to 9%, with the exception of Fridays, when the increase will be slightly higher (up to 11%).

As usual, Metro will check the operation of this reinforcement service so that, if necessary, it can make the appropriate modifications to guarantee a quality service to users.
