Metro de Madrid, venue for the presentation of the match for the 100-year anniversary of the Spanish Rugby Federation
Metro de Madrid hosted today the presentation of the match with which the Spanish Rugby Federation will celebrate its 100-year anniversary on 26 August. The hall of the Nuevos Ministerios station was the place chosen to announce the details of the match, in which the Spanish national team will play against Argentina, and which will take place at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium in the Spanish capital. The event was attended by the Regional Minister of Transport, Mobility and Infrastructure, David Pérez, and the Chairman of the Spanish Rugby Federation, Juan Carlos Martín.
During the presentation, seven Spanish players performed an exhibition and interacted with passengers of the underground. Pérez encouraged spectators to "use public transport to attend the match", while stressing the importance of the region hosting this type of top-level sporting event, which attracts tourism, economic activity and a positive brand image".
