The Community of Madrid reinforces public transport during the Mad Cool festival

The night timetable of line 3 will be extended and an EMT shuttle bus will be set up to make it easier to leave the venue. A special train service will depart from Villaverde Alto station to Sol with intermediate stops at Legazpi and Embajadores. In order to guarantee the mobility of the 70,000 attendees of the event from 6 to 8 July each day.

The Community of Madrid will extend the night timetable of Metro line 3 and launch an EMT shuttle bus service in order to reinforce and guarantee public transport alternative for those attending the Mad Cool music festival, which will take place from 6 to 8 July in Villaverde Alto

As in previous years, the regional government and the promoters of the event have agreed to reinforce the service until 4 o'clock in the morning with the aim of guaranteeing transport for the more than 70,000 spectators who are expected to attend the event each day.

Thus, the underground will provide a shuttle that will directly connect Villaverde Alto and Sol stations, with two stops at Legazpi and Embajadores for passenger departures only. Trains will run at a frequency of approximately 5 minutes. Metro staff will also be increased in order to speed up and properly attend to the transit of the public attending the concerts.

On the other hand, the EMT will operate a night shuttle, with 18 buses between the festival and Atocha with a connection in Legazpi, o that users can choose to continue their trip on the night lines of the Municipal Transport Company with stops in both areas from 6 to 8 July. The first day will cover the time slot from 23:30 to 2:00 hours and on 7 and 8 July, from 00:15 to 4:00 hours.

Attendees will be able to get to Mad Cool using EMT buses 22 and 79 and the intercity bus 448, which starts in Legazpi and runs along Avenida Real de Pinto. Finally, the venue can also be accessed from Villaverde Alto station (Metro Line 3).
