The Community of Madrid participates in a Red Cross campaign to help families with fewer resources at the start of the school year

The Community of Madrid is taking part in the Madrid Red Cross campaign So They Can Paint a Colourful Future aimed at Metro users and employees, in order to help families with fewer economic resources before the start of the school year.
The solidarity initiative can be seen on digital media distributed throughout the Madrid underground network until 7 September, as well as on the company's social media accounts, and encourages passengers to make donations using Bizum to the 02910 telephone number, which the non-profit organisation will convert into back-to-school material.
For their part, Metro employees will be able to join this project by contributing new school materials at their work centres, such as pens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, pencils, crayons, felt-tip pens and notebooks.
In 2016, the last time a similar campaign was launched, the workers of the metropolitan public company contributed more than 2,500 kits that were distributed among over 1,800 families assisted by Cruz Roja Madrid.
