The Community of Madrid celebrates Halloween by recalling the most terrifying legends of the Chamberí Metro station, known as the Ghost Station. To mark the occasion, the underground opens today the registration period for all those who wish to take part in the free daily guided tours that will take place from 27 to 31 October and enjoy this unique historical space, decorated for the occasion.
This year, the main theme of this fun activity is the story of a last passenger who was trapped at the Chamberí stop on the day it closed its doors for good in 1966. When this mysterious character begins to suspect that his confinement has been malicious, he resurrects old legends that will be developed and seen along the tour, from the entrance to the platform.
During the more than 40 years that Chamberí station remained closed, there were many stories and tales that spoke, for example, of the presence of ghosts and terrifying characters in this space. All these anecdotes are brought back this year for fans of this topic.
Those interested in taking part in this activity, which is recommended for people over 12 years old, will have to register in advance from today at museosmetromadrid.es, as capacity is limited. The sessions will take place on Friday 27 October, from 4 pm to midnight, and on the following days, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to midnight.
This initiative involves the participation of six actors who will wander around the station, decorated for the occasion, disguised as different creatures inspired by literary works and scary tales.
