The Community increases the Metro service by up to 125% for San Isidro
Additional trains will run on lines 1, 2, 3 and 5. The number of trains will increase today and on 11, 14 and 15 May.
Metro de Madrid will increase the train service by up to 125% today and on 11, 14 and 15 May for the San Isidro festival. Extra trains will run on lines 1, 2, 3 and 5.
The service will begin today, 10 May, at 6 pm on line 5 and at 11 pm on lines 1, 2 and 3. These additional trains will run on all these lines until the end of the service.
Meanwhile, there will be extra trains on 11 May on line 5 from 3 pm. In addition, the number of trains on lines 1, 2 and 3 will be increased from 11 pm until closing time.
On 14 May the service will be increased from 6 pm on lines 1 and 5, at 9 pm on line 2 and at 10 pm on line 3. These additional trains will run until the end of the service.
Finally, on 15 May, the number of trains on line 5 will be increased from 10 am until the end of the service and on lines 1, 2 and 3 from 6 pm until midnight.
Metro de Madrid will also increase the number of staff available at stations to ensure the smooth flow of users through its facilities at all times.
Madrid has organised this special arrangement to facilitate public transport journeys to the events that will take place during the San Isidro festivities in the capital.
