This was explained by the Regional Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, after a tour of a section of line 10 with the winner of a Tour de France and two Vueltas a España, Perico Delgado. The champion from Segovia took the opportunity to sign several jerseys that will be raffled this week among the followers of the company's social media accounts.

Metro de Madrid has bicycle racks at Rivas Futura, La Peseta, Arganzuela-Planetario, Nuevos Ministerios, Colonia Jardín, Puerta del Sur, Fuente de la Mora and Chamartín stations, and more than 1,200 cyclists use these vehicles to travel on the underground network.

"We continue to promote the integration of cycling and public transport as an efficient way to get around the region. A model that is consolidated in Europe and that is increasingly used by the people of Madrid", stressed the Minister.

According to data from the Madrid metro system, the lines that are most used by cyclists are 10, 12 and 3, especially the stations of Lago, Príncipe Pío, El Casar, Príncipe de Vergara, Sol, Juan de la Cierva, Tribunal, Oporto, Plaza de España and Cuatro Caminos.

The Community of Madrid reminds users that it is possible to travel with bicycles on trains, but always in accordance with a number of rules that can be consulted on the website www.metromadrid.es and on specific days and timetables, although on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays it is possible to access the entire network at any time.
