The Community of Madrid will extend the timetable of Metro line 3 to guarantee transport to the Keinemusik music festival in the Caja Mágica
On 7 September, 35,000 people are expected to attend the music event. The underground will run until 3:30 am, two hours longer than usual. There will be direct trains between San Fermín-Orcasur and Sol stations, stopping only at Legazpi and Embajadores. The goal: to facilitate mobility in the area, especially at the end of the event.
The Community of Madrid will extend the timetable and reinforce the service on Metro line 3 (Villaverde-Alto - Moncloa) in order to guarantee the transport of the 35,000 people expected to attend the "Keinemusik Madrid 2024" festival, a musical show that fuses house, techno and electronic rhythms, which will be held on 7 September in the car park of the Caja Mágica in the capital.
In order to make it easier to exit the venue at the end of the day, Metro line 3 will remain open until 3.30 am. Thus, from the usual closing time of the underground (1.30 am), special direct trains will run between the stations of San Fermín-Orcasur -the closest to the venue- and Sol, with stops only at Legazpi and Embajadores for passengers to get off.
In addition to this extraordinary timetable, the number of trains will be extended from 3.30 pm in the afternoon when the first arrivals begin to arrive. The reinforcement will be up to 50% from midnight onwards.
These increases in trains by Metro de Madrid will be accompanied by an increase in staff on the affected line in order to guarantee the correct operation of the service and ensure adequate mobility in the area.
