The Community of Madrid reinforces public transport during MADO 2025

The Community of Madrid is reinforcing the public transport service to guarantee mobility in the Spanish capital during the celebration of "LGTBIQ+ Pride Week" (MADO 2025), which will take place from 28 June to 7 July. This is the mobility plan approved by the Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM).
The EMT lines that serve the centre and the district of Moncloa – Aravaca may have route modifications and service alterations during the celebration dates as followed:
- Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 July (from 6 pm to 3 am)
- Daytime lines: 3 and M3.
- Thursday 3 July (from 6 pm to 3 am)
- Daytime lines: 001, 1, 2, 3, 25, 39, 44, 46, C1, C2, 74, 75, 133, 138, 148 and M3.
- Night lines: N16, N18, N19, N20, N21, NC1 and NC2.
- Friday 4 July (from 3 pm until 8 am on Saturday 5 July)
- Daytime lines: 001, 002, 1, 2, 3, 9, 25, 39, 44, 46, 52, C1, C2, 74, 75, 133, 138, 146, 147, 148 and M3.
- Night lines: N16, N18, N19, N20, N21, NC1 and NC2.
- Saturday 5 July (from 3 pm until 8 am on Sunday 6 July)
- Daytime lines: 001, 002, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 32, 34, 37, 39, 44, 45, 46, 51, 52, 53, 59, C1, C2, 74, 75, 85, 86, 102, 133, 138, 146, 147, 148, 150, E1, M3 and 203.
- Night lines: all night network lines except N28 and N31.
- Sunday 6 July (from 6 pm to 3 am)
- Daytime lines: 001, 1, 2, 3, 25, 39, 44, 46, C1, C2, 74, 75, 133, 138, 148 and M3.
- Night lines: N16, N18, N19, N20, N21, NC1 and NC2.
Depending on demand, the airport express (203) and 200 (to airport) lines will be reinforced from 2 to 6 July. There will also be up to 10 reserve buses on the daytime network to cater for the increase in demand that may arise during MADO 2025 (Madrid Pride) and between 15 and 18 reserve buses on the night-time network to cater for the possible increase in passengers.
On the night of 5 to 6 July, the headways of the following night bus routes will be changed and moved as follows:
- Headers in ATOCHA: N9, N10, N11, N12, N13, N14, N15, N17, N25, N26
- Headers in PUERTA DE ALCALÁ: N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N22, N24, N27
- Headers in ALONSO MARTÍNEZ: N23
- Headers in ARGÜELLES: N16, N18, N19, N20, N21
The N28 and N31 headers remain at Moncloa, while NC1 and NC2 remain at Cuatro Caminos and Atocha.
On Saturday 5 July, the day on which the "State Pride" demonstration will take place, with a route from Glorieta de Carlos V to Plaza de Colón, the underground will offer the largest reinforcement of the service with an increase in trains of up to 100% on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 from 5.30 pm until closing time.
On Sunday 6 July, coinciding with the closing ceremony to be held in Plaza de España, lines 2, 3, 5 and 10 will be reinforced by up to 50%.
As in previous years, there will also be a system in place throughout the week to be able to act in case additional reinforcement is required depending on the number of passengers at any given time. Staff will also be reinforced at the following stations, where a greater influx of passengers is expected: Alonso Martínez, Atocha, Banco de España, Callao, Chueca, Colón, Estación del Arte, Gran Vía, Pacífico, Plaza de España, Retiro, Sevilla, Serrano, Sol and Tribunal.
On the other hand, at the request of the National Police, certain stations will be closed at certain times during the different days in order to guarantee security. These are the stations affected:
- SOL: Sol station will be closed on Tuesday 1 July, Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 July between 6.30 pm and midnight and on Friday 4 July and Saturday 5 July between 6 pm and closure of the service. Trains will continue to make stops for passengers who need to change to the different connecting lines, both Metro and Cercanías.
- CHUECA: this station will also be closed from Wednesday 2 July until Saturday 5 July, from 6 pm until the service closes.
- BANCO DE ESPAÑA: on Saturday 5 July, Banco de España station will be closed from 4.30 pm until the service closes.
- COLON: will be closed on Saturday 5 July from 9 pm until closing time.
- PLAZA DE ESPAÑA: certain entrances will be closed on 3, 4, 5 and 6 July at different times depending on the outdoor activities.
In all cases, these closures may be modified according to mobility needs.
With regard to intercity buses, the CRTM envisages reinforcing the night-time lines that have their head office at Atocha.
