Today, the Board of Directors of the Regional Transport Consortium has approved the fares, maintaining the same free fares and discounts. For children under 7, young people up to 14 and adults over 65, travel throughout the region will continue to be free • The 50% discount on the Youth Pass and the 40% discount on all other tickets, including 10-trip tickets for the Metro, EMT and ML1, will be extended.

As of 1 January 2026, the Community of Madrid will continue to apply the extraordinary public transport discounts that have been in force since 1 July 2025, maintaining identical prices, free fares and discounts for the different tickets of the fare system of the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid (CRTM).

Today, the Regional Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, chaired the CRTM Board of Directors, which approved the continuation of the fare discounts that will benefit some six million users who will be able to continue travelling on Metro, urban and interurban buses and Light Rail under the same economic conditions established for the last six months.

This is why the three types of free season ticket that already exist will be maintained, the children's card up to the age of 7, the card for the over 65s, financed entirely by the regional government, and the new one introduced on 1 July 2025, which will be free for children up to the age of 14.

On the other hand, the 50% discount on the Youth Season Ticket, aimed at people aged between 15 and 25, will also be extended and they will be able to continue travelling throughout the region for €10 a month.

The other monthly passes for users aged between 26 and 64 will maintain a 40% discount, so zone A will remain at €32.70; B1 at €38.20; B2 at €43.20; and B3, C1 and C2 at € 49.20. Finally, the 10-trip ticket for Metro, EMT and ML1 will continue to cost €7.30.

The discounts are financed by the Community of Madrid together with the other administrations that are members of the CRTM and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and will be in force until 31 December 2026.
